Canadian Rockies by Rail

The Senior Center, in conjunction with Collette Vacations is excited to offer a once in a lifetime trip to the Canadian Rockies by train. See the road less traveled and experience the beauty of western Canada in comfort on the Rocky Mountaineer Train. This is a fabulous trip that you won't want to miss!

Your holiday begins when you arrive in the dynamic city of Calgary where you will spend the night at the Westin Hotel Calgary. The next day you will travel by motor coach to the spectacular Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. In the afternoon you will arrive at the world-famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise surrounded by snow-frosted Rocky Mountain peaks. Day three you will journey along the unforgettable Icefields Parkway and the Columbia Icefields. You will continue to Banff, where you will spend two nights visiting Bow Falls and the impressive Hoodoos, also known as the "Land of the Sleeping Giants." Then enjoy some leisure time exploring the quaint village of Banff. On day five of your trip, you will board your train for the scenic journey of a lifetime. The Rocky Mountaineer Train will take you on a spectacular voyage from Banff to Vancouver where you will spend two days viewing coastal forests, roaring river canyons and lofty mountain peaks. You will arrive in Kamloops for an overnight stay. The next day continue aboard your train along the fields of the Fraser Valley and the historic Fraser River. Your train journey ends in the early evening in the beautiful city of Vancouver. The next day, you will experience the splendor of the city with a sightseeing tour beginning at Stanley Park and will also visit Vancouver's Chinatown. Your tour will end in Gastown, Vancouver's turn-of-the-century pedestrian mall filled with pubs, restaurants, art galleries and the world-famous steam-powered clock.

The cost of this trip per person is $2,999/double; $3,749/single; $2,969/triple and includes round-trip airfare from Boston's Logan Airport, motor coach and rail transportation, eight days, 6 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 4 dinners. No deposits are required until April 2008.

A deposit of $250 per person is required upon reservation, on or before April 14, 2008. Final payment is due July 16, 2008. Cancellation waiver and insurance is also available at $235 per person and must be paid at the time of deposit. For more information, call the Senior Center at 967-8514.
