Make room on your kitchen shelf for a new book: The Center Cooks, a collection of recipes contributed by members and friends of the Senior Center at Lower Village. This is the second cookbook presented by the Center and we believe that the diversity of recipes in the book and the reproduction of many of Birthe LaFlamme's beautiful paintings in the book, make this book unique. Birthe was a charter member of the Center and a well-known local artist. Her paintings depict many familiar scenes of the surrounding area.
The recipes in the book are tried-and-true old family recipes, mixed with others, which are innovative and original. The book is presented in a manner that makes each recipe easy to locate then, prepare in the most uncomplicated fashion. There are over 380 recipes from 148 different contributors.
The sale of this delightful cookbook is a major fundraising project and we hope it will take pride of place among everybody's cookbook collection. The price of the book is $15.00 including tax. If you want a book mailed, the cost of postage and handling is $5.00.
