If you have ever driven down River Road and wondered about that sign with the messages on it, wonder no more. The author of those daily words is John Getchell and he will be here Tuesday, November 28th at 1 pm to entertain you with his humor. John will sign his new book, “Sign of the Apocalypse”, for those who need a unique holiday gift. Refreshments served. Free. Come on down.
Christmas Fair/Elder Elves Help at the Center

Our Holiday Fair is December 2nd and Elder Elves, a wonderful outreach effort that brings cheer to lonely seniors at Christmas time, could use some more help. We are looking for someone who can sew or cross stitch aprons. We also have a Christmas tree with tags on it for donations to Elder Elves. We have the BEST volunteers in town! The more the merrier! The Center is pleased to announce that, for the first time, we have a Matching Sponsor for our Annual Appeal. Gail Arnold, of Kennebunk Beach Realty, will match every donation at 50% up to a cap of $10,000. For every $1.00 donated the Center will receive $1.50. The Center announces Diane Thayer as the 2017 Model of Positive Living

Diane Thayer is the 2017 Model of Positive Living, an award given by the Center annually to a resident 50 or older who lives life with vitality and contributes to the community. Diane has been a volunteer for the Center for 20 years and has also served as a member of the Board. Her enthusiasm and good works are never ending – all who know her love her tireless spirit! Please congratulate Diane when you see her.
