The traditional Yankee quilt expresses many of the values we share at the Center. In years past, as today, a quilt represents a group of people who come together in the spirit of friendship, loyalty and cooperation to create something beautiful and lasting.
From many diverse and seemingly unrelated pieces of cloth, through the delicate work of many hands, the quilt grows into a fitting testament to people working toward a common goal. The quilt is much like the Center. Many people work to create a warm and friendly gathering place.
Seniors from all walks of life and all income levels today bring their individual skills and dedication together to share in activities and programs at the Center and in the community. The individual achievement and the shared times stitch together a marvelous fabric of life renewed, friendships born and dreams inspired.
